Think Secret, one of the popular websites among Apple enthusiasts, is no more.

Exactly three years ago, Think Secret published rumors that Apple is building some new Macs and a word processor.

The rumors turned out to be true when Steve Jobs announced the new Mac Mini and iWork at the Macworld.

Think Secret was subsequently sued by Apple for publishing trade secrets and getting information from sources who violated their confidentiality agreements with Apple.

Now both Apple and Think Secret have reached a settlement that the Apple rumor website will no longer be published.

Apple introduced Safari for Windows around six months ago calling it the fastest web browser that is almost twice as fast as IE 7 or Firefox 2.

Since then, Apple has released couple of minor upgrades for Safari 3 that are mainly bug fixes and the browser is still in beta stage.

We never heard of any third-party browser plugins being released specifically for Windows Safari and there’s practically little or no talk among the blogging community about Safari browser on Windows.

So did Safari manage to win any browser market share during the six month stint ?

I referred to the Google Analytics report (OS / Browser) and out the last 6 million visitors, only 8500 (0.15%) were using Safari on Windows.

The sample data may not be very big but it at least gives a reasonable idea about the possible market share of Safari 3 browser on the Windows platform.

Netkas made public a method  to emulate an EFI environment using a specially modified darwin bootloader . In practical terms, it means that regular PCs meeting a minimum set of hardware requirements can now be “seen” as real Macintosh Computers by the OS, allowing the use of unmodified, “stock” Apple kernels and thus giving a more transparent and reliable operation. Several methods to give real world usage to this innovative solution have raised all around the net. An explanation of this achievement along with an usage guide is provided by DigitMemo.com
