According to MLB.com and other sports insiders, Arod is going to be re-signing with the Yankees within the framework of a $275 million dollar deal for 10 years. There’s also a performance clause which would pay him substantially more if he broke Barry Bonds record while in pinstripes.

Now being the Yankee fan I am, and my proximity to New York, it’ll be great to be able to get to a ballpark where I can see him break that little cheater Bonds record. BUT… I’m extremely disappointed in Scott Boras and Arods actions during the World Series. They overplayed their hand, thought the market would be great for Arod. Guess again; Arod had to come crawling back to the Boss.

I’m glad I don’t have to burn my Arod jerseys now, but it’ll take me a couple of years to get back to respecting him as a man and player again.
